Decision not to renew CICIG mandate divides opinion among Guatemalan lawyers

President Jimmy Morales’s recent decision to not renew CICIG’s mandate has left some local lawyers questioning his commitment to eradicating corruption, while others suggest the commission should be replaced because it is too politically motivated.
