Belgian brewery AB InBev wrapped up its US$107 billion purchase of multinational rival SABMiller in October 2016. Each company had a large market share in multiple jurisdictions, so ever since the merger AB InBev’s in-house counsel have faced a prolonged challenge to implement remedies mandated by competition authorities. In a Q&A with LACCA, AB InBev’s compliance director for the Andean region, Jaime Muñoz, reveals the pivotal support his team has offered.
